Dana Outlaw graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1999. Upon graduating from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 2003, Dana started her firm with an emphasis on family law. In addition to practicing law, Dana is an adjunct professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law.
Dana Outlaw is a mediator and mediates cases involving child custody, property division, spousal maintenance, child support, and other related matters. She has served as a Special Master and conducted hearings on temporary maintenance and child support. She is frequently appointed as a Guardian Ad Litem to represent children in cases involving child abuse and neglect. She is the former contract attorney for Hope House, Inc., a local domestic violence shelter. Dana is an experienced appellate attorney and has argued cases in front of the Missouri Court of Appeals Western District.
Dana has been the core presenter and moderator at local and statewide bar meetings and has often been asked to speak on issues involving domestic violence, child support, and case law updates. She is active with the Legal Aid of Western Missouri Pro Bono Volunteer Attorney Project. Dana is the recipient of the UMKC Law Alumni Foundation Pro Bono/Public Service award for her commitment to providing representation those who cannot afford legal it.
Dana is licensed to practice law in Missouri. She is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and Eastern Jackson County Bar Association.
Dana Outlaw is an experienced trial lawyer who is dedicated to bringing her client’s matters to a fair and equitable resolution. She has handled divorces ranging from simple, no property cases to high value, complex asset divorces.
